Russell Simmons, Seane Corn and Justin Nozuka Headline DNC Yoga Health Festival Aug. 24-25

The Yoga Health Foundation, a 501 c (3) nonprofit organization, will officially launch Yoga Month, a national awareness campaign to inspire a healthy and informed lifestyle, in Denver on the eve of the Democratic National Convention (DNC).  The Yoga Health Foundation and OmPass, a yoga resource company, will produce the Yoga Month Denver Health Festival at the City Park on August 24-25.  The festival is nonpartisan and is presented in conjunction with Dialog: City, an event converging art, democracy and digital media.  Dialog: City is supported by the Denver 2008 Host Committee and the Denver Office of Cultural Affairs.

A floating, futuristic pavilion will be constructed to house world renowned yoga experts practicing their craft, green and holistic vendors, celebrated medical practitioners and health-conscious politicians during a yoga festival geared toward cultivating awareness, inspiration and an action plan for conquering the health care crisis engulfing the country.  Yoga master Seane Corn will team up with celebrity guests Russell Simmons and Justin Nozuka to raise national consciousness about health care and the inexpensive and holistic options available to prevent and treat a myriad of illnesses.

YOGA MONTH 09.2008 - THE MAKINGS OF A REVOLUTION

Yoga Health Foundation, a nonprofit located in Los Angeles, CA, is proud to announce the first health initiative of its kind, Yoga Month 09.2008. Yoga Month 09.2008 is a national awareness campaign to inspire a healthy and productive lifestyle. When Johannes Fisslinger, the founder of Yoga Health Foundation, took on this project, he had a singular goal in mind: to inspire yogis and nonyogis the world over to utilize the holistic benefits of yoga to live the healthiest life possible. 

In September, his goal will be realized. Yoga Month 09.2008 will culminate in a 10 city tour that will feature festivals in Austin, Chicago, New York City, Boston, Miami, Denver, San Francisco, San Diego, Los Angeles and Vancouver. Proceeds from these festivals will benefit Youth Health Alliance, a program that provides free enrichment classes to at-risk youth. Yoga Month 09.2008 festivals will highlight top superstars of yoga, hundreds of exhibitors, huge sample sales, delicious and health-conscious food, lectures and live music. 

For the Los Angeles health festival, Johannes and his crew are providing an added bonus to attendees. This year, the Global Mala project will team up with Yoga Month in Los Angeles to produce an awe inspiring two day event. All fitness levels are welcome. Both kids and adults will surely find what they are looking for at the Yoga Month 09.2008 10 City Yoga Health Festival Tour. Now is the time to celebrate your best life possible. What are you waiting for?
